Job Description

The role of the Senior Full Stack Engineer is to help create innovative software solutions for both internal and external users to deliver the best mortgage lending experience.

This is a fully remote position. Work hours are flexible, but ideally need to be available from 9AM to 5PM Mountain Time.

Requirements

 - 4-12 years of experience as a software developer

 - Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript 

 - 3 years backend framework experience: JS microservices, mostly NestJS, hosted on Heroku 

 - 3 years frontend framework experience on React/Redux, deployed by Netlify

 - Extensive experience in testing, mostly with Jest 

 - 1 to 2 years experience on Postgres and MongoDB 

 - 1 to2 years experience on GitHub and Codeship 

 - 4+ years experience in software development

 - Experience working for startup companies

 - You are flexible and can handle constant changes in business requirements

 - Provide effective mentorship to other team members.

Responsibilities

 - Ability to complete complex software projects within a reasonable amount of time with limited supervision and minimal defects.

 - Determine an effective implementation plan from high level requirements.

 - Understand how to design an effective and scalable architecture.

 - Relied upon to recruit and effectively interview prospective new team members.

 - Identify, diagnose, and fix complex bugs throughout the entire codebase.

What an average day/week looks like

Be a key participant in stand-ups, planning, retro, and stakeholder meetings.

Tackle new areas of the codebase and develop new patterns for others to follow.
