Hello,  I'm Jim.

As a professional, I have twelve years of work experience in SaaS and IT operations with exposure to leadership, product development, and customer success. Also, passionate about learning new technologies like blockchains and enjoy engaging in creative thinking to stay ahead of the industry.

During my entry to mid-level, I was a lead infrastructure engineer at Ingram Micro and Citibank, where I facilitated project planning, capacity management, and implementations.

In my senior year, I worked as a Customer Program Manager at Synacy Inc, a startup software company. The work is remote, and my role is to manage customer accounts to achieve their business goals using our products and services. Part of my work is tracking product usage and customer health to help different teams make better product decisions. Daily active users, subscriptions, conversion rate, churn, and monthly revenues are a few.

About my crypto or web3 experience, I have a part-time job at Serenity Research as a DeFi Research Analyst. I’ve produced web3 onboarding tutorials for Udemy and external clients like Messari.

I write content and weekly DeFi publications for medium.com/coinmonks, which has around 50k readers.

I also manage a small DeFi portfolio by operating through dapps like Aave, OlympusDao, Looksrare, and Macha. I would say I enjoy and have more knowledge of yield farming, and not much of a trader.

In late 2017, I first heard about blockchains. It's like discovering the internet in the '90s; I have never stopped learning about it. When I discovered DeFi on Ethereum, that was the time I started learning about different Tokenomic designs.

DeFi is the domain where I have spent most of my time recently. I’m fascinated with the idea that in typical money systems, we trust third parties like banks to track how much money each person has. DeFi, on the other hand, is a system that doesn't require third parties. Instead, we interact directly with codes where transactions are written in a blockchain.

Token economy, inflation and deflation mechanism, effective ways of creating value around a token, and revenue sharing model are some of the metrics I consider when analyzing a DeFi project. I’m also interested in exploring NFT utility in different industries like gaming, social network, and tangible assets to see how can they be integrated into DeFi.

I apologize for the lengthy introduction. I'm confident that my expertise in the domain is a good fit for any web3, DeFi, operations, and customer management role. I've attached my resume for reference.

I look forward to hearing from you.
