I am MEKKAOUI Tarek from Algeria, I have a good educational background university degrees: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Option: Energeties), Master's degree in Demography (Population Planning And Development) and a Specialized Procurement & Contracts Engineer Degree from the Algerian Petroleum Institute IAP.

I have a respectful experience in the oil and gas industry (12 years) divided into Four (04) Months as Operator (Oil & GasWater TreatmentIndustrial Constructions) with EPPM - ENGINEERING PROCUREMENT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT –ALGERIA; 

Three (03) Months as Operator Assistant (WELL PRODUCTION SERVICES) with BONATTI, Spa –ALGERIA;

And more than Ten 10 years (from August 2011 till now) as Procurement & Contracts Engineer with SONATRACH-ALGERIA

The responsibilities of the position are similar to my current ones as a Procurement & Contracts Engineer within the procurement department of Sonatrach Algeria.

I have the necessary requirements to fill the position since my day-to-day tasks are directly related to the CPL & the User departments on one side and with the vendors & the bidders on the other side.

The main roles are:

Dealing with day to day pre and post-award contract processes including preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of tenders and contracts of large scale projects with complexity and diversity:

Reviewing contract requisitions and scope of works and developing suitable pricing structure through coordinating with end-users.

Preparing tender documents with suitable conditions and ensure that the company's contracting policies, procedures, and business ethics are followed.

Formulate suitable tendering strategy depending upon the scope, value, type and schedule and select the most appropriate bidders' list and obtain approval for the strategy.

Conducting site visits, pre-tender meetings and co-ordinate with the user, finance and legal in providing clarifications.

Launch the tendering process and review tender responses and provide recommendations to contractual and commercial matters that may arise.

Co-ordinate technical evaluation, conducts the commercial evaluation, and obtains approval for the award.

Lead contracts negotiation and signature, ensuring strategy objectives and perform contract administration activities.

Monitor the performance of contractors.

I have extensive experience in preparing bids, evaluating bidders, and monitoring contractors' performance.

I have a solid knowledge of business practices and legal processes and an advanced level in computer applications and software.
